Her simultaneous relationships with Britain’s 47-year-old Secretary of State for War John Profumo and 36-year-old Soviet Embassy attaché Yevgeny Ivanov came to light when her ex-lover Johnny Edgecombe fired six shots into her front door with a handgun she had given him.
