Wilton Row is one of Belgravia’s most desirable mews addresses, occupying a discreet position just off Wilton Crescent in the City of Westminster. The street is tucked away behind Old Barrack Yard and Grosvenor Crescent Mews, creating a peaceful and secluded residential setting in one of central London’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. Wilton Row is particularly well placed for the open spaces of Hyde Park and the elegant surroundings of Belgrave Square, while the luxury boutiques, restaurants and amenities of Knightsbridge, Sloane Street and wider Belgravia are all within easy reach. Knightsbridge and Hyde Park Corner Underground stations provide convenient access to the Piccadilly line, with Victoria station also within walking distance.

The history of Wilton Row is closely connected with the grand properties of Wilton Crescent. The mews was originally established to provide stable and coach-house accommodation for the principal residences around the crescent, forming part of the service network that supported Belgravia’s large nineteenth-century houses. Local legend maintains that the pub is haunted by the ghost of a young officer from the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment who was severely flogged after being accused of cheating at cards. The punishment was reportedly intended as a disciplinary lesson but proved fatal, and his spirit is said to return around September each year.
