One of Belgravia’s most desirable mews streets located off Wilton Crescent, equidistance between Knightsbridge tube and Hyde Park Corner.
The Grenadier public house in Wilton Row SW1 is reputed to be haunted each September by the ghost of an officer of the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment who was flogged after being found guilty of cheating at cards. The beating was meant to teach the man a lesson but was so severe that he unfortunately and unexpectedly died.
