Ryders Terrace is a quiet and characterful mews in St John’s Wood, arranged as a T-shaped cul-de-sac running from Blenheim Terrace towards Carlton Hill. A pedestrian passage provides access through to Carlton Hill, adding to the secluded nature of this residential enclave. The mews was originally constructed to serve the larger properties on Blenheim Terrace, providing traditional stable and coach house accommodation for the surrounding houses. Today, Ryders Terrace retains the intimate scale and historic character associated with London’s traditional mews streets, offering a peaceful setting away from the busier surrounding roads.

Ryders Terrace is well positioned for the amenities of St John’s Wood, with St John’s Wood High Street approximately 0.7 miles away and offering a variety of shops, cafés and restaurants. The highly regarded American School in London is also within easy walking distance, while the extensive green spaces of Regent’s Park are around a mile away. Ryders Terrace also has a colourful connection to London’s criminal history: Roy James, known as ‘The Weasel’, was a member of the gang responsible for the Great Train Robbery in 1963 and reportedly used No. 14 Ryders Terrace as a hideout while evading the police.
