Ruston Mews is a private, gated and cobbled cul-de-sac situated off St Mark’s Road on the southern edge of Notting Hill. The secluded mews contains a distinctive mix of modern-style houses alongside surviving period properties, creating an interesting blend of contemporary and historic architecture. The mews comprises 35 residential properties, with the freehold interests held collectively by the houses within the development. Originally known as Crayford Mews, it was constructed during the 1860s to provide stable and coach house accommodation for the larger residences on Lancaster Road before later becoming known as Ruston Mews.
