Bourlet Close, Fitztrovia, Westminster, London, W1W

Bourlet Close is a distinctive cobbled mews-style cul-de-sac located in Fitzrovia, W1W, accessed from Riding House Street. This characterful mews is made up of period houses, residential apartment buildings and retained commercial premises, reflecting its mixed-use heritage.

Originally developed in the 18th century, Bourlet Close was associated with the Bourlet family, who operated frame-making workshops and packing warehouses on the site. Commercial activity continues today, alongside residential use. During the Second World War, bomb damage to Riding House Street led to the rebuilding of parts of the mews.
