Cutting edge contemporary meets period charm

As part of a feature listing “Charming mews houses for sale around the UK”, Lurot Brand was asked by the property website loveproperty.com to recommend a London mews house that would appeal to discerning buyers. We selected a property that typified many of the capital’s mews houses, combining a charming, Dickensian period exterior with a stunning contemporary interior design. This delightful 3-bed South Kensington property, on the market for £5m, is ideally located within walking distance of a number of well-known London landmarks and attractions, including Hyde Park, Knightsbridge and Notting Hill. Nine tempting roof terraces

Nine tempting roof terraces

When Country and Town House set out to find the nine best examples of a roof terrace in the UK, they naturally asked Lurot Brand to contribute. Most mews houses have little or no ground level garden space, so many owners have created amazing outdoor rooms on the roofs of their properties, with views over the London skyline. The terrace that appears here in Country and Town House belongs to an exclusive £4.95m property in South Kensington, where the owners have installed a barbecue, jacuzzi and fire pit, together with a projector screen and some luxurious padded seating. According to Marlon, it’s not just the fine dining restaurants, boutique fashion shops and trendy cafes that make this area a great place to live. One of the reasons why Westbourne Grove is growing in popularity is the quality of its architecture. Marlon says that the area offers “the nicest and most interesting architecture to be found in Notting Hill.” If you’re thinking of buying or renting in Westbourne Grove, find out everything you need to know by following the link.
